My Wallet

My wallet is an amazing thing. In my wallet are things I never knew I had, and a few I wish I could forget I had. You would find all my espresso cards, which I actually have divided by city,(not because I'm weird but because I am one of those people who thinks that when I get a new wallet it will kick start my new organized life to put everything in order). I have a couple old traffic tickets that would tell you I drive too fast. Pictures of my son, on top of gift cards and student i.d. cards, casino cards and casino coupons. I have phone numbers of people I really miss and a few of people I can't for the life of me remember. I have receipts from everywhere, some change, and my checkbook, and a few pay stubs(which would definitely tell you I don't do my job for the money). I suppose my wallet would say that I am on the go alot, that I drink too much coffee, and that I gamble alot (which I don't actually do), and maybe that I drive too fast. I don't think my wallet could show how busy I am with a full time job, two classes at school, a son at home with varying sports practices, and a family of four to pick up after(plus the four dogs, two of which are temporary). It doesn't tell you that I'm about to be an aunt for the first time, or that I have chosen nursing as my career. I think people in general, in their everyday lives, could fill a dozen wallets with who they are, and still have something to add.

Hi Lauren,
Congratulations and welcome to blogging. I enjoyed reading your wallet blog--you make a good point about how much we would have to carry with us in order for others to have a clear picture of our identity. -Ann
